Selling on Amazon is tough. Many sellers operate losing money and don’t even know it. The main reason for this on Amazon is:
- Amazon is a price-driven marketplace that strongly encourages lower prices by sellers
- Amazon charges a lot of fees and many sellers don’t have the awareness/sophistication to calculate their profit after these fees.
The Basic Fees
- Commission – This is the standard selling commission charged by Amazon, with the fee schedule detailed here: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/200336920
